Looking for an organic fertilizer for your garden?
Tired of paying an arm and a leg for chemical fertilizers from a big box store?
Worried about the impact chemical fertilizers have on the environment?
Try our rabbit manure. There’s no manure that works as well in the garden as rabbit manure aka “bunny berries.” Bunny berries are far superior to manure from other animals. Because it’s considered a “cold” manure, you don’t have to compost or age rabbit manure before you use it. Manure from chickens, sheep, horse, cows, and pigs is referred to as “hot” manure, hot manure needs to be composted for months before you can safely use it or you’ll burn your plants to death.
Try our rabbit urine. Just like rabbit manure, rabbit urine aka “bunny honey” is an excellent fertilizer. Because rabbits drink so little in comparison to other animals, their urine has a very high concentration of nitrogen. As an added bonus, it also can be used as an insect repellent!
*We collect fresh organic bunny berries and bunny honey daily, so you don’t have to.
WHY USE BUNNY BERRIES?
One of the best things about rabbit manure is it doesn’t need to be composted. Here’s why you should use it in your garden:
It improves poor soil structure, drainage and moisture retention.
It improves the life cycle of microorganisms in the soil.
Worms love rabbit manure.
It is not as smelly as other manures and is easy to handle.
Rabbit manure is packed with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, minerals and micronutrients. It also contains beneficial trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, sulfur, copper and cobalt, just to name a few.
Nitrogen. Rabbit manure is higher in nitrogen than sheep, goat, chicken, cow, or horse manure. Plants need nitrogen to produce strong green growth.
Potassium. Potassium helps with fruit quality and reducing disease; plants will not grow without it.
Phosphorus. Rabbit manure is also higher in phosphorus than the other manures. It helps with the transformation of solar energy to chemical energy. Phosphorus also helps plants to withstand stress and contributes to more and bigger blossoms, and is great for root growth.
WHY USE BUNNY HONEY?
Rabbit urine is even better than rabbit poop! It does double duty as a fertilizer AND insect repellent. Here’s why you should use it in your garden:
It lasts for a long time in the soil and has a long shelf life if stored in sterilized containers.
It contains high levels of nitrogen and appreciable amounts of phosphorus and potassium.
Nitrogen helps in leaf formation and because of the concentration of the compounds in the urine.
Phosphorus and potassium enhance the growth of crops.
When used in concentrated form, it easily kills aphids, thrips, mealybugs, and most leaf eating caterpillars.
It also acts as a insect repellent when diluted and sprayed.
Its uses in organic gardening:
It can be used as a weedicide on broad leaf weeds.
Soil drenching with rabbit urine before planting helps to kill pests in the soil.
It becomes more concentrated when aged and more effective in eradicating pests.
It also acts as a good bio decomposer.
